I needed a way to raise two monitors and also provide extra room for a laptop + docking station. I purchased two normal and one wide version of this stand, and they're working perfectly.

Pros:
Affordable and simple. Who needs a complex stand when you only need a simple platform that will raise your monitors up a couple of inches taller than their normal reach? These are simple, elegant (odd, but yes, they look great in an office setting), and affordable.

Easy to adjust height; add or remove leg segments as required.

Odd use, but I was able to use the wide version to span from my desk to my filing cabinet, using two segments on the right side and three on the left, to provide a stable and level platform for my docking station and giving me an extra 2' of "desk space".

Cons: About the only thing I can say negatively is your adjustment options are locked in, so there is no way to fine adjust. The segments are 1 5/8", so you're out of luck if you need anything other than that, you'll have to find a work-around. But for the price, that's a very small problem. :-)

It seems many risers are designed for monitors with a round stand base. I have a curved monitor that has a boomerang-shaped base. 11" wide and 9" deep. I ordered two other risers based on the stated dimensions and neither fully supported the base of my monitor. This one does.

Another feature of this riser that I like a lot is: all of the legs have removable 1-1/2" sections. So, you can adjust the height from 1-1/2" up to 4-1/2" by removing one (or more) of the 3 sections. The platform of the riser is roughly 3/4" without the legs. So you can actually use it by itself if you only need a little bit of boost.

I got a new 32-inch monitor to use with my travel size laptop and I needed it to be elevated on the back of my desk. Here are the pros: large size to accommodate the very large base, very innovative design using Lego-like legs that are stacked to create three different heights, surprisingly sturdy even though it is entirely plastic, solid surface that can be cleaned easily, nice open space underneath to slide a laptop or other computer peripherals and a nice slick black look. And the cons: I have not found any yet.

Arrived on time. I have large nightstands, but they are not big enough for all the junk I have on them. I have a BiPAP machine, Caption phone, alarm clock (which connects to a bed vibrator), the electric blanket controls, fire alarm bed vibrator. Then I have a pitcher for water and a glass for water for the evening. During the summer months I have a small space air conditioner. Well, with all these items, I never had one inch to set anything. Decided to buy this to add space. I looked at shelves, phone stands, things that hook to the bed, things that stand on the phone, then I saw this and bought it. Very easy to set up, one minute if that long. I hold my phone, my BiPAP machine, I can put my glasses, note pad, and other items under it, giving me space to set things on my nightstand. Really like it very much. Not expensive yet worth every penny for my needs. Recommend.

I needed a modern stand where I could push my sound bar underneath while the equipment sat on top, mine set up on a dresser below a 46" Hi-def wide screen. The equipment was a Blu-Ray player, Dish Joey, and a HTMI midi switcher. I didn't want the sound bar on the wall, having to hide wires. And with the sound bar under the 3M stand I could put other personal stuff behind it. The sound bar was with a wireless active bass unit that could be place 30 feet away and out of visual sight. Finally, if you buy this for the same purpose be sure it is high enough to clear the sound bar you chose, including the "width" between the legs. Also if using a DVD / Blue-Ray player, selected the WIDER 20" model because most electronics are 19" similar to real rack-mount units.
