Nice looking bag. Hardware durable not cheap metal. Shoulder strap comfortable (tried for the review. I was hoping it'd fit husband's new Alienware 17.. but display is 17.3 and that. 3 makes a big difference. Hoping company makes larger bag to fit this model computer along with the very large battery pack. So don't purchase if you have Alienware 17 Gaming Notebook

17R is a tight fit, but it does fit (just about). Works if you put laptop in back-end facing out (as opposed to preferred front-end facing out). But all this must happen outside of the section intended to hold it, not a big compromise for all the overall advantages and qualities of this bag (which you're hardly going to use much anyway because the 17R is so heavy...but you never know, so I bought the bag).

While this slim case is amazing, it DOES NOT fit a 17R4 as I was expecting it to. I had to return. The big briefcase/messenger bag OR the sleeve are the way to go. Because the items are mixed within each listing, I've had a hard time writing separate reviews for all 3 products. Photos are attached of the sleeve, the briefcase, and the slim hard case. Make sure you get the 2.0 if you have an Alienware 17R4!

Love this bag, It's thicker than you might think however the laptop part of the bag BARELY fits my alienware 17 R3 so if you have an Asus you need the 18 inch, honestly you may want the 18 inch for the Alienware 17 R3 even just for a little wiggle room. The laptop compartment is very nice and has foam padding protecting all 6 sides of the laptop. The strap that it comes with is very durable feeling and has excellent padding so this bag is quiet comfortable for the weight of my laptop and basic accessories, if you try and cram this thing as full as you can I think the weight would be uncomfortable but I have no idea why you would want to carry so much weight in any messenger bag. The internal compartments are very thoughtfully organized and there is plenty of ways to store your stuff in this bag so they all fit and they all have a place. The back of the bag has very thick foam and has a smooth but non slip surface which should be good for not ruining my clothes anymore by pilling them (pilling from my last backpack is the reason I got this bag, I was sick of my old backpack ruining my shirts).

I bought this for my husband who is a big gamer and bought the alienware laptop. He didn't have a computer bag that was big enough for all of his accessories including the laptop. He absolutely loves this bag, it has multiple huge pockets (he actually puts two laptops in it as well as all the accessories). Recommended!
