With two USB 2.0 ports, the GCS1744 allows connected computers to share USB peripherals connected to the USB peripheral ports, such as printers, scanners, portable hard drives, etc.

Audio Feature

Recognizing the importance of sound, this 4 Port Dual View USB VGA KVMP switch also offers audio support. A single microphone can provide audio input to each of the computers, and you can enjoy the audio output of each computer on a single set of speakers.

Best product of its type

Excellent product. I've had the two port version for several years. They work perfectly. Also feeds USB from switch to active computer. Many other brands don't do that.

Easy set up and much more convenient than doing work …

Bought this to share my large dual monitor set-up between home computer and work laptop. Easy set up and much more convenient than doing work on a tiny 14" laptop. The touch of a switch gets me on the computer of my choice.

This KVM served me well for many years. It more than outlived its warranty and is still ticking.
Unfortunately, very few computers have VGA now-a-days. :-(
So, I'm looking to upgrade to this guy's big brother, which has support for HDMI. I will probably be getting iogear. they do a great job.

This is a very nice high-quality solidly built computer switch, it is for computers using VGA in standard USB mouse and keyboard configurations.

"Very happy on day one"

So far so good; I'll update in a few months if anything changes, but this is working perfectly so far. The machines I have hooked up to my IOGEAR: My home desktop with 3 monitors; the 2 I have hooked up to the IOGEAR are both analog VGAs (Dell IN2010N - I know they're old, but they work as good as the day I bought them and their display is beautiful), and my Lenovo docking station (40A2) for my work laptop. Both machines are on Windows 10 if that helps anyone. Also, my home desktop has the green/pink audio inputs but my Lenovo 40A2 has only USB inputs, so I ordered an adapter from AMZ (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IRVQ0F8/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1XWAXR6JWT413&colid=1RMHV8TT4FIEZ - if it doesn't work, I'll update this review) so we'll see if it works; audio works fine on the home desktop. My inputs on the home PC are VGA to DVI adapter and VGA to DisplayPort (active adapter); inputs to the docking station are VGA and VGA to DisplayPort (active adapter). Additionally my display on my work laptop still works, so I have 3 displays for each machine (see pics). I know there are several unfavorable reviews for this product, so I took a risk ordering this, but I am very happy so far - this puts me one step closer to telecommuting 5 days a week :)
