Very accurate keyboard. Good trackball in terms of both size and layout. The relatively high price can be justified by the high quality

The keyboard does what it promises!

It was more difficult than expected to find a keyboard of this size, with an acceptable keyboard layout AND a trackball. Always be sure to carefully check the details of the key layout (which is strangely not always well defined in the specs) because there are a variety of layouts available and they're often not what you are accustomed to. My first purchase of a slightly different model of this keyboard had the CTRL and FUNC keys swapped, and things like that can drive you crazy if you type by feel. This still isn't the perfect layout, but keys are at least where I'd expect to find them. I'm using this in a lab/light-industrial environment, and the trackball turns out to be a better choice than a touch pad, simply because you can operate it with a gloved hand. Nothing beats a mouse, but in my case there was no surface available. This keyboard is quite thin, and instead of flip-up feet, it comes with plastic feet that can be inserted into slots on the bottom. It is somewhat costly, but after having tried numerous types of cheaper keyboards, I decided that the Cherry name had to count for something -- so far so good.

This keyboard is quite nice. I recommend buying it used, because Cherry ML switches are stiff and only become more comfortable after being broken in. It's easy to take apart for a deep cleaning, with only screws and no silly plastic clips to break.

The only real negative side of this keyboard is its behavior when holding down keys. When you hold down, say, "a" on a regular keyboard, an "a" gets typed, and after a pause, the system repeatedly sends "aaaaaa". This keyboard, however, actually physically sends TWO a's with a short pause in between them before the computer takes over and sends "aaaaaaa". The net-effect is that, while gaming, if double tapping a key does something, then that will be triggered. For example, while Minecrafting, you will always be dashing. Games that use a double-tap to dodge will also be spawning dodges left, right, and center.

So maybe not the best keyboard for gaming.

Otherwise, it's a great travel-friendly keyboard with no Windows key.

Bought as an "open box" item, this is, with no exaggeration, the best keyboard I have ever used. And as a typical "die-hard" keyboardist with smaller-than-average hands, and who hates to move her hands away from the keyboard to use the mouse, other keyboards now feel clumsy and unwieldy in comparison. It's working GREAT with WordPerfect. If I could find more at the price I paid, it would be the only keyboard I would ever buy.
