I really love my Switch Pro Controller and wanted another one to use on my PC, but the full price official model is... expensive... and needs to be plugged in to work properly anyway. This particular model looks and feels great. It works seamlessly on Windows 10. It installed the necessary drivers as soon as I connected it.

Steam works well with Switch controllers. As someone who grew up in the SNES era, I find the face button lettering on Nintendo controllers more instinctive, but I suppose that's really a matter of preference. You can set up Steam so that it lists the correct face button on your Switch controller - "A" will actually mean "A" (as opposed to the Xbox equivalent, which in this case would be "B")

I'd still suggest getting the official wireless controller for Switch if possible, but this is a good alternative to save money and is an excellent option for someone who wants to use a Switch controller on PC.

We have a new switch (purchased 12/2021) and wanted some extra controllers. This is my third power A wired controller of different varieties I have purchased and the first that worked. The other two would not show as connected even when plugged in correctly. This controller works easily and as expected. We've had it for about a month now and have had no concerns with it.

I bought this because my Switch will sometimes decide it does not want to talk to any wireless controllers including detached joy-cons. It fits in my hands and feels nice, no issues. It does not have vibration of motion control but that is true for all wired controllers for some reason. Can leave it plugged in while using a wireless controller and it wont interfere.

They work great. You just have to make sure the cord is pushed ALL the way in. If you plug in the cord to the dock and controller but find it's not recognized by the switch it's probably because the cord isn't pushed all the way in, in the controller. It's a sturdy controller so don't be scared to use a little bit of strength. If you still can't push the cord in any more than it already is, then maybe something else is the problem. So far I've bought three controllers and they're all great. Worth the money for these standard, basic controllers (especially since COVID19 has got Nintendo's repair center for the drifting joy cons down at the moment)...I also bought a USB hub and that does not change connectivity of these wired controllers. I'm satisfied.

I purchased this on sale for 10 dollars. At this price, it's a perfect spare controller to give to someone young or someone rough to use for games such as Smash or Mario Kart without fear of damage. Keep in mind that these controllers do not include rumble (not a big deal IMO) nor rumble (much bigger deal) so I would not suggest you use this as a primary docked controller. It won't work well for games like Splatoon or even Breath of the Wild but is a perfect fit for friends joining in on a game of Smash Bros or Mario Kart.
